Default Starting over

My other half & I are starting over, with new characters in Prophecies as it is the only Campaign she currently has.

I am looking to do a Warrior class & she is looking to use a Mesmer.

I am looking for good build advice, e.g. Good secondary professions to use & what for.

These will be used as general PvE characters for missions and quests.

I am not looking for advice on skill sets, I am more than happy to deal with that myself.

Thank you for all advice in advance, I will take all of it in and digest it thoroughly before my final decision is made.

I cannot speak for My other half.

My suggestion is to just play.
The game is completely doable with sub-par options, and since you will be playing with hench - sub-par options won't even be noticed!
I'd just suggest monk secondary for a hard resurrection skill - other than that - have fun! You'll be playing a fun game with someone you love - who cares if you you do 5 less damage than you could!

What upier said. Take up the challenge of figuring out skills, strategies and secondary professions for yourselves. When you screw up and have to wait til the desert to change secondaries... more challenge figuring out how to "make do" with what you've got. In my opinion, that was much of the fun in "the glory days" of GW. It's already dead easy compared to back then (remember having to gain XP to get refund points, so you could change your build?!). Avoid build advice and wikis.

Wow...first time Upier has said anything I didnt flatly disagree with. Hit that place up like the BWE just ended and run what you want. With a partner, you guys can do what you want with no W/Mo running around getting you wiped. I envy you.
